We’ve been so busy working on the EAT and DRINK pages that there just has been much time for SLEEP. We do plan on sleeping around as much as we can in the next little while and we’ll update you every time we find a place that we think you’ll enjoy.

Whether you love it or avoid it, sooner or later you’re going to need to sleep. Of course when you travel, you aren’t only looking for a place to sleep, but also a home away from home. A place to brush your teeth, hang up your clothes, make your base of operations and attend to your most intimate business. It’s a tall order for a room you’re going to inhabit for only a few days, and that will be inhabited by countless others before and after you. And if you don’t get the sleep you need, then the enjoyment of the rest of your travels will dissolve as your energy diminishes and the pace of your exploits slow like the lazy hands of a watched clock through an endless sleepless night.
When we were young we could sleep anywhere; a floor, a lawn, a blood and beer soaked couch in an unfamiliar flop-house, but as we’ve aged sleep has become a phantom that ever haunts us but remains as elusive as the pot of Ambien the Leprechauns hide at the end of the rainbow (or so the Magic Unicorn has told us). Even though we now often splurge on accommodation in a desperate attempt to get a few decent hours of sleep, we will try to cover a range of accommodation styles and costs to meet the demands of a variety folks; the Montys, the Paltry Petes, the newlyweds, the nearlydeads, and yes you too, toothless angry drifter.
