If you are an omnivore, you won’t be able to stroll past Roast Sandwich Shop in the new Market at the Hudson easily. Heavenly aromas of lemon rosemary roast chicken, house spiced rib of beef, and, Roast’s crème de la crème/piece de resistance, the majestic herb roast porchetta will make you salivate like a rabid dog. All the rotisserie items are available for sale by the half-pound or pound.

We can say without exaggeration that this is one of the best sandwiches in all Victoria.

If you are having lunch, you must try one of their heavenly sandwiches.  Specifically we recommend the porchetta. This supreme sammy pairs slices of impossibly juicy pork, crispy crackling, provolone cheese and crunchy broccoli rabe on a soft Portuguese bun. We can say without exaggeration that this is one of the best sandwiches (if not THE best) in all Victoria.  All the meat at Roast is naturally raised. Roast also has unique pantry items for sale should you choose to take some rotisserie home with you (if you can make it last until you get home). The beef sandwich with chimichurri (a piquant sauce with parsley, cilantro, vinegar and olive oil) and onion jam is also a stand out.
