Northern Quarter

Hello, pretty ponies!

We at Horsing Around are pleased to report that Benji Duke (of Fort Street Cafe fame) has partnered up with Torin Egan  to open a new restaurant/bar, Northern Quarter.

The venue, located on Douglas Street, aims to provide casual eats at affordable prices, and live nightly entertainment.

Given there aren’t a lot of places for bands to perform in Victoria, this news came as, well, music to our ears!  While we haven’t been inside Northern Quarter as of this writing, we did poke our noses in the window.   The space appears small enough to be intimate, yet large enough not to be unduly cramped.  We think Goldilocks would find it to be juussttt righttt.

We are rooting for Northern Quarter and hope they achieve their aim of providing affordable food and drink, coupled with wonderful live music for locals and visitors alike.
